Surrounded by colour, silk and inspiration, you’ll explore the art of creating your own hand-painted silk scarves in a relaxed and intimate setting. Under Leona’s personal guidance, you’ll discover the traditional techniques of silk painting, from stretching the silk onto a frame and applying colour to using gutta, a fine outliner that brings definition and detail to your design. You’ll experiment with colour mixing, explore different approaches to composition and learn how to bring your ideas to life on silk.

Throughout the day, you’ll create two individual scarves: one exploring traditional silk painting techniques and another in a more free-flowing, abstract style. No previous experience is necessary — just curiosity and a desire to create.
