Mother’s Day Gift Guide
In honour of Mother’s Day, I wanted to offer a little glimpse behind the scenes of my motherland – Hungary. I am proud to come from such a creative nation and still maintain strong connections to my Hungarian roots despite the distance. I have pulled together some of my best-loved Hungarian designers whose products are also available here in London and blend beautifully with my scarf designs. It’s lovely just to share my inspiration, and to perhaps give you some unique ideas for Mother’s Day gifts!
The seductive hues of the Mystic Purple scarf celebrate the elegant woman whose effortless style comes like a second skin. Enhance the smooth, soft allure of the silk scarf with a spritz of Viktoria Minya perfume. This award-winning creative perfumer offers a range of lush, delicate scents in crystal-studded bottles for that extra bit of sparkle.
Treat Your Mum
As one of my bestselling scarves, the Beyond the End is a vibrant and mesmerising piece with a design reminiscent of ethereal and Impressionist paintings. Wear the scarf with a necklace from Hungarian designer Eva Remenyi whose statement pieces offer minimalist style, geometric shapes and a bold aesthetic to beautifully complement the soft silk of your scarf. As Mother’s Day is a time for indulgence and feeling good starts from the inside, treat mum to a selection of award-winning skincare products from Omorovicza, whose brand pay tribute to the Hungarian thermal waters, their healing properties and the nation’s bathing culture.
Teatime in Style
Embrace the traditional British colour palette and teatime tradition in royal blue and ice white with the Blue Sky Day scarf. Blend the look with a healthy Hungarian influence courtesy of my signature hand painted patterns. Ideal for those who like a refreshing aesthetic, the Blue Sky Day scarf will look beautiful in tandem with a Herend tea set from the esteemed Hungarian-born porcelain brand.
Happy Mother’s Day to one and all. Love, Leona x
